Student Ministries

We currently have two learning environments where students can grow in their faith journey: Backstage and Faith High. Backstage is designed for middle school students (grades 6-8) and Faith High is for high school students (grades 9-12).

Backstage exists to provide an engaging and relaxed setting where 6th-8th graders can experience God, connect with others, learn, grow, question and serve. We believe the best way to reach and teach middle school kids is to model the Christian walk and develop solid relationships.

Components

Spiritual Growth: Sunday mornings in Backstage are about experiencing God’s Word in a relevant way – engaging, interactive, and applicable. Our goal is to meet students where they are and help them learn more about who Jesus is and what it means to live His way.

Fellowship: We believe it’s important for middle school kids to be connected and experience life together (Acts 2:42.) In addition to meeting Sunday mornings, CCCSH partners with Wyldlife (www.younglife.com/wyldlife) to provide a middle school fellowship experience like no other! Wyldlife meets twice monthly and also offers a 5 day summer camping experience at Rockbridge Camp in Virginia.

Service: Love God, and love others… that’s what it’s all about. Backstage students serve others (Eph. 2:10) by partnering with existing ministries at CCCSH. Faith Factor: We prepare and present the Faith Factor lesson on the 4th Sunday of each month. Students assist with tear down each Sunday. Shepherd’s Heart: We collect, prepare and serve food as well as provide handmade fleece blankets.
